about

Lots of connections here.

The title is a play on an old Judas Priest song "Dissident Aggressor".

The lyrics just evolved from gibberish I would sing as we figured it out. There's no real story behind them.

The badass spooky sounds in the opening are courtesy of James Adkisson (the guy who recorded the album). Based on the 2nd verse, he thought the song was really some kind of space battle-themed thing, and envisioned a "derelict spaceship" drifting around the sun, the remnants of some previous hell wrought by the characters in the song.

Like most of the tracks, this one is echoed in the 2nd album in a song called "I'll Be Careful; You'll Be Dead", which had the working title "Derelict" owing to James' remark.

This song started with a lead riff (the higher notes) by Scott that really sounded more Radiohead than anything else. For some reason, I added a rhythm that sounded more Motorhead than Radiohead. Maybe shoulda called the song Radiomotorhead to be cute.

Heretic Assaulter (I Can't Shoot You)
by Killer Crocs of Uganda
Copyright 2006

I am Abbadon and I'm coming after you
You killed my brother and you raped his lover too
Your luck has run out, your death is overdue
I'm comin back to get you and there's nothing you can do

Don't know why
I can't shoot you
I can't shoot you

I am your captain on this mission to the sun
You joined the mutiny and you're no tthe only one
The mag is empty and the deck is overrun, well
Let me introduce you to my atomizer gun

Don't know why
I can't shoot you
I can't shoot you

Six men are dying; two are almost there
Two others cry out, disappear into thin air
The fifth one is you; you know it's time to take your share
The last one is me; go on and ask me if I care

Don't know why
I can't shoot you
I can't shoot you
